Reaching out for support is a meaningful step, and choosing a clinician is an important decision. If you’re walking through a difficult season, feeling disconnected in your relationships, or simply looking for a healthier way forward, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Counseling can offer a space for clarity, connection, and meaningful change.
About Katie
Background & Experience
With a background in counseling adolescents and families, I am passionate about helping people discover meaningful ways to communicate, connect, and grow together. Since beginning my professional counseling work in 2015, along with over two decades of ministry experience, I’ve had the opportunity to support clients from many walks of life as they pursue healing and lasting change.
Clinical Approach
My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each person’s needs. It is informed by Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and other complementary methods. Through the unique experience of transcribing archival sessions of its founders, Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer, I developed a deep appreciation for this work. This approach emphasizes identifying strengths, building on what is already working, and taking intentional steps toward meaningful goals.

My Belief
On a Personal Note
When I’m Not In Session
I enjoy teaching, wheat-free baking, gardening, reading, listening to podcasts, and staying physically active outdoors with my family. My husband and I have been married since 2010; we met through camp ministry and enjoy fellowship and serving our church and faith community. We have two wonderful boys who keep us busy, and we cherish making memories together, especially spending time on the lake with family and friends.
